To help prevent the transmission of all respiratory infections, including COVID-19, we adhere to universal infection control measures. We utilize N95, K95, and level 3 surgical face mask, face shields, scrub caps, lab coats, surgical gowns and gloves for each patient per guidelines set by the American Dental Association (ADA) and Center for Disease Control (CDC). We want to share an overview of the steps we are taking to make sure our office is the safest place you visit all day.
- Disinfection and Safety: We have always maintained the highest level of OSHA standards and practices for a sanitary and safe environment. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have kept up to date with all ADA and CDC guidelines for proper patient and team safety. Each patient room is properly sanitized in between patients and everyone in the office is required to wear a mask, including team members. We follow routine cleaning and disinfection strategies, using disinfectants to pre-clean surfaces prior to applying an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant, as well as appropriate sterilization of all tools and equipment. We have also implemented additional suction devices in all treatment rooms to reduce aerosol production.
- Symptom screening: A temperature and symptoms check is required daily for every team member as well as each patient at confirmation and check in. We are also adhering to the Massachusetts 14 day travel quarantine guideline for all team members and patients.
- Social Distancing: We ask that all patients please remain in your vehicle or outside, and call the office when you arrive. We will let you know when your treatment room is ready, therefore, avoiding any time spent in the waiting room.
- Scheduling: We are scheduling and lengthening appointments to allow enough turn over time for treatment rooms.
If you have any questions about our safety or infection control policies, please do no hesitate to call. We look forward to seeing you at your next dental appointment.
